Overview of College Preparatory Reading
REA 0002 College Preparatory Reading - A Short Course
Reading - A Short Course is designed for a student with reading skills approaching an acceptable level for college work. In this program a complete review of the basic reading skills is presented along with opportunities to develop them in a format similar to that used for online placement tests.
There are seven sections to the instruction. Each section will explain and illustrate some of the basic skills that need to be known by a college-level reader. After the instruction, a reading passage allows the student to determine whether the skills of the section have been learned.

After the seven instructional sections have been studied, a final exam is provided to give the student feedback on the degree to which the basic reading skills have been applied.
