Writing an Essay
The PPST Test requires an essay on a given topic. In this section, the information and skills needed to be successful are presented.
An essay will be evaluated by the degree to which it:

is well organized and coherently developed

clearly explains or illustrates key ideas

demonstrates syntactic variety

clearly displays facility in the use of language

is generally free from errors in mechanics, usage, and sentence structure.
