You are going to learn to reduce your Math Anxiety by participating in a conversation. You are guaranteed a successful learning experience when you participate fully in the conversation. Listening and replying are your major roles in making this a successful conversation.
The conversation is broken into short segments which are called frames. A frame has three parts:
1. Each frame gives a small bit of information and/or an example. Then you are asked to respond to something about it.
2. Figure out your best response. Sometimes a blank that looks like this allows you to place your cursor in the box and type a reply. At other times a blank that looks like this ___________ indicates you will not be able to type your reply. In these cases, use paper and pencil to work out your response carefully.
3. After your response is complete, the frame will tell you, in red, what an appropriate or correct response would be. You will always know immediately whether you understood the frame's lesson.
You are in complete control of the flow of this conversation. One type of control comes from the Menu items located on the blue screens to your left. When you click your cursor on the blue colored and underlined words "Menu Choices" the computer will take you directly to an explanation about the Menu. Try that now.
