Intermediate Algebra, An Individualized Approach

This course assumes a degree of proficiency with Beginning and Elementary Algebra. Each new topic is introduced with a brief review of the needed knowledge from earlier courses, but the review is intended only as a refresher.

The remainder of the course extends the topics of Elementary Algebra and begins a solid development of relations, functions, and their graphing.

Topics include:

  • simplifying radical expressions and fractions
  • rational number exponents
  • polynomials
  • equation solving
  • inequalities and absolute values
  • linear functions
  • quadratic functions and relations (the conics)
  • systems of equations

The student is guaranteed a successful learning experience which will greatly improve later opportunities in mathematics.
