Introduction to the CLASTThe College-Level Academic Skills Test (CLAST) is an achievement test that measures selected communication and mathematics skills adopted by the State Board of Education. This online program is designed to meet the needs of Floridas college students who are preparing for the CLAST. The CLAST measures the communication and computation skills that are judged by state university and community college faculty to be those skills that college students should have acquired by the end of their sophomore year. Students must pass all 4 subtests to be awarded an Associate in Arts degree or to be admitted to upper division status in state universities in Florida. The CLAST requirements also apply to students transferring to state universities in Florida from private Florida colleges as well as from out-of-state colleges.
