Creating Your Own Personal Needs Hierarchy

Abraham Maslow, a renowned American psychologist (1908-1970), developed a Needs Hierarchy with five levels. This hierarchy covers the basic needs of every individual. The pyramid below describes each of these levels. Maslow taught that needs at lower levels had to be met before a person could satisfy the needs at the next higher level. Each of the goals you created and revised earlier in this module has a place in Maslow's pyramid. Looking at them closely, you can determine the position in the hierarchy of each of your goals.
