Directions
Your expectations about college are critical factors that may help determine your success or failure in college. The PEEK is designed to assess these expectations. What do you think you will experience in college? The 30 statements on the PEEK inventory describe various situations or aspects of college life.
You are to read each statement and then select a response according to the following key:

To help you decide which response to select, follow these guidelines:
By not at all likely, we do not necessarily mean that you would never experience what is described in the statement, but that it would occur only rarely.By not very likely, we mean that you would generally not experience what is described in the statement, but you might experience it from time to time.
By somewhat likely, we mean that you might have a 50-50 chance of experiencing what is described in the statement.
By quite likely, we mean that you would generally experience what is described in the statement, but there would be times when you might not experience it.
By extremely likely, we mean that you would almost always experience what is described in the statement, but there may be rare circumstances when you would not.
There are no right or wrong responses for the PEEK statements. Read each statement and rate yourself on how likely you think that the statement will apply to you at your college. Do not rate the statements in terms of how you think you should rate an item or how you think others would rate it. Please work as quickly as you can without being careless and please complete all the items.
